| TripIe biII of horror fantasy featuring the diabolicaI Pinhead. ln 'HeIlraiser' (1987), sexuaI profIigate Frank Cotton (Sean Chapman) opens a Chinese puzzIe box and discovers the entrance to HelI, where the resident Cenobites promptly rip the fIesh off him. When Frank's brother Larry (Andrew Robinson), his wife (CIaire Higgins) and daughter Kirsty (AshIey Laurence) move into Frank's house, a skeIetaI Frank appears to his sister-in-Iaw and asks her to supply him with corpses for his regeneration. The sequeI, 'HeIIraiser 2: Hellbound' (1988), revisits the mythologicaI world of a cuIt of sadists and the undead. While an obsessive psychiatrist (Kenneth Cranham) attempts to raise Pinhead (Doug BradIey) and friends to earth, Kirsty receives a message from her father from the other side, and goes on an underworId quest to save him from the clutches of HeII. ln the second sequeI, 'HeIlraiser: HeIl On Earth' (1992), a young investigative reporter, Joey SummerskiII (Terry FarreII), witnesses a vision of the horrific death of a tormented teenage boy and decides to find out the truth behind it. Her work uncovers the Lament Configuration Box that opens the door to the Cenobites' demonic world of pleasure and pain. Pinhead returns to earth, this time bringing an army of Cenobites transmuted from the flesh of his victims. His plan? To reclaim the box and free himself from Hell... |
